Most likely if you haven’t experienced lags or slowdowns then you may not experience anything except the battery dying quicker. It’s worth changing if you’re not going to upgrade soon.

Jun 17, 2019. #1. I was wondering if I should purchase applecare + for my new XS Max. It's quite pricy, and I was thinking if I could at least get a set of free batteries before the 2 years are up. The applecare+ policy states that battery health below 80% is required to qualify for an exchange.
Yet it depletes battery slower than my previous iPhone (6S) did at that capacity. I use MagSafe to charge it every day, and I have a MagSafe car charger & mount I use on my commutes. The longest it goes without charging is while I’m at work, and well, I don’t use it much then.

I go out of the house with it charged to 100%, it can lasts a day without video streaming and just using basic features and some social media.
